# Asset Factory Blueprint > Asset Factory Blueprint (AFB) is an MIT-licensed reference implementation from the HCLTech Robotics Intelligence CoE that turns photos, scans, CAD and USD sources into governed, reproducible OpenUSD assets and Isaac Lab reinforcement learning environments for robotics simulation, with every geometry, physics and variant decision verified against SimReady requirements and tied to recorded evidence. SimReady claims require an exact Profile and applicable Requirements; repository checks do not constitute NVIDIA certification. ## Start here - [Documentation index](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/index.html): Task-oriented map of the documentation. - [Blueprint](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/blueprint.html): Purpose, eight-stage process, promotion model and controlled variants. - [Quickstart](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/quickstart.html): Installation, provider configuration, dry runs and live operation. - [Reference architecture](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/reference-architecture.html): Runtime layers, artefact flow, provider boundary and release evidence. - [Walkthrough](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/walkthrough.html): One-photo example from intake to a governed workspace. - [Requirements](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/requirements.html): Supported Python versions, optional dependencies, credentials and hardware. ## Pipeline - [Intake and source ingestion](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/pipeline/00-intake-and-sources.html): Immutable source evidence and programme intent. - [Reconstruction](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/pipeline/01-reconstruction.html): Governed reconstruction, conditioning and repair routes. - [Mandatory mesh verification](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/pipeline/01a-mesh-verification.html): Deterministic diagnostics, visual review and geometry promotion. - [Segmentation and semantic inference](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/pipeline/02-segmentation.html): Stable semantic regions for downstream decisions. - [Material and physical inference](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/pipeline/03-material-inference.html): Evidence-bound material and physical-property proposals. - [Texturing](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/pipeline/04-texturing.html): PBR maps, variants and decals. - [Physics and articulation](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/pipeline/05-physics-articulation.html): Colliders, mass, joints, limits and grasp affordances. - [SimReady verification](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/pipeline/07-simready-verification.html): Profile, runtime, package and task-fitness gates. ## Operation and evidence - [Orchestrator](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/platform/orchestrator.html): Dependency-closed run plans and stop conditions. - [Agentic operation](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/platform/agentic-operation.html): Deterministic gates, bounded model review and escalation. - [Provider abstraction](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/provider-abstraction.html): Replaceable model providers with repository-controlled validation. - [Manifest contracts](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/manifest-contracts.html): Durable records for resumability, review and reproduction. - [Governance](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/platform/governance.html): Rights, privacy, retention, provenance and release decisions. - [Citation and reproducibility](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/citation-and-reproducibility.html): Software, schema, provider and run citation requirements. - [Reference-run capsule](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/reference-run-capsule.html): Minimal redistributable evidence for a release claim. ## Primary specifications - [OpenUSD documentation](https://openusd.org/release/index.html): First-party OpenUSD concepts and APIs. - [OpenUSD validation framework](https://openusd.org/release/api/md_pxr_usd_validation_usd_validation__r_e_a_d_m_e.html): First-party validation registry and validator APIs. - [NVIDIA SimReady FAQ](https://docs.omniverse.nvidia.com/simready/latest/simready-faq.html): Profile, Feature and Requirement terminology. - [MaterialX specification](https://materialx.org/Specification.html): First-party material-network specification. - [W3C PROV-O](https://www.w3.org/TR/prov-o/): W3C provenance ontology used by the JSON-LD projection. ## Optional - [Observed runthrough](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/runthrough.html): Workstation-specific timings, resource use, outputs and blockers; not a portable performance promise. - [Support matrix](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/support-matrix.html): Release-verified, CI-checked, declared and provisional support levels. - [llms-full.txt](https://hcltech-robotics.github.io/asset-factory-blueprint/llms-full.txt): The complete documentation concatenated as a single plain-text file.
